The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is considering the possibility of exporting the Russian electric vehicle Zetta to India, Pakistan, Jordan, Egypt and Germany. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the ministry.
“The innovativeness of the project and the high competitiveness of the product make it possible to look with optimism at its export opportunities,” the ministry explained.
According to the ministry, the certification of the electric vehicle is now at the final stage. The first electric vehicles of serial equipment have already been manufactured, at the moment the technologies of serial assembly are being developed.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Zetta support in 2017-2018. subsidies in the amount of 285 million rubles for scientific research and development (R&D). Zetta also received 49.5 million rubles of a soft loan from the Monocities Development Fund.
Earlier in September, it became known that the timing of the creation of the first serial Russian electric car was postponed again. Zetta was unable to obtain a 99.9 million rubles loan from the Expert Council of the Industrial Development Fund (IDF), so the production period is shifted to the period after 2020. The firm was offered to look for sponsors.
