In Paraguay, found seven bodies of refugees in a container of fertilizer
Asuncion, 25 October 2020, 07:35 – REGNUM The bodies of seven refugees were found in a fertilizer container from Serbia to Paraguay. This was reported on October 24 by Reuters.
The seven dead men were found by the manager of the company that purchased the fertilizers when opening a container that arrived on a ship from Serbia. It is assumed that the victims expected to stay on the way for no more than three days and get off the ship in Croatia, but for some reason they failed to do this. As a result, the ship stayed on the way for about three months, and the victims had food supplies for only three days.
The medical examiner concluded that the three dead men were from Morocco, one from Egypt. Paraguayan Prosecutor Marcelo Saldivar said that the country’s authorities will contact the Serbian authorities to identify the bodies of the victims.
Earlier IA REGNUM reported on the arrest in France of members of a criminal group involved in the illegal transportation of migrants across the English Channel.
