Speaking of its performance in Euro NCAP, the Tucson scored 86 percent in adult occupant safety. The car remained stable in the frontal offset test, and provided good protection to the head and legs of the driver and passenger, with marginal to adequate protection to the chest area.
Rear passengers also had good protection for the head and legs, and adequate protection for the chest area. In lateral impact and rear impact, the car performed exceedingly well and scored 15.4 out of 16 points for the former and 4/4 for the latter.
