More than a third (40%) of Russians believe that a change in guidelines, values and rules has been taking place in the world recently, which can be called an ethical revolution. This follows from a survey conducted by the Mikhailov & Partners. Analytics ”, the results of which were received by RBC.
More than half (52%) of the respondents noted that society has become more tolerant of “many things that the majority did not recognize before.” At the same time, 45% believe that expressing their opinion can be dangerous due to possible criticism and aggression on social networks, follows from the survey results.
39% of the respondents agreed with the statement that a person has the right to special privileges as compensation if he was infringed on something, while another 33% were against.
During the survey, participants were also asked about their attitudes towards changing the rules for the Best Picture nomination for the Oscars, as well as the Black Lives Matter movement against racism and violence against African Americans, and the #MeToo movement against sexual violence and harassment:
The quantitative stage of the survey involved 1.5 thousand people over 14 years old, the study was conducted from September 28 to October 5 of this year by phone. The qualitative stage took place in August-September of this year among 24 focus groups in three Russian regions.
