Turkey declared Russia’s inability to resolve the conflict in Karabakh
Vice President of Turkey Fuat Oktay said that Russia failed to resolve the crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh. His statement in an interview with CNN Turk TV channel is quoted by RIA Novosti.
“Russia tried to find a solution and enter into negotiations, remembering old ties under the USSR. But it didn’t work out, ”Oktay pointed out. He added that the fact that Turkey was not at the negotiating table is a big omission.
According to the Vice President, there can be no solution without Turkey. He also pointed out that Russia is one of the countries with which Turkey managed to build “the healthiest and strongest relations amid the chaos in the world.”
On October 17, adviser to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev recognized as ineffective international negotiations on Nagorno-Karabakh at the site of the OSCE Minsk Group with the mediation of Russia, France and the United States. He stressed that this format has been operating for 30 years, but has not given any results.
The conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) escalated sharply on September 27. Armenia and Azerbaijan accused each other of shelling positions and settlements on the contact line.
