In Belarus, at least 220 people were detained at protest actions, it follows from the data of the human rights center Viasna. The police announced an attack by protesters on the Central District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk, near which flash-noise grenades were used. Two police officers were injured. According to the police, 120 people were detained.
According to Vesna, the demonstrators were detained in many cities: Minsk, Brest, Gomel, Mogilev, Grodno, Vitebsk, Lida and others. There are journalists among the detainees.
The head of the Minsk police, Ivan Kubrakov, said that the demonstrators attacked the Central District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk and threw stones at the service vehicles of the internal affairs bodies. According to him, 120 people were detained, he did not specify whether by country or only in the capital. “The officers of the internal affairs bodies took measures to suppress illegal actions, used special means and physical force. The officers of the internal affairs bodies detained active participants who attacked the Central District Department of Internal Affairs, as well as those who organized riots in the sleeping areas, ”said Mr. Kubrakov.
