Popova: 85% of those infected with coronavirus did not comply with preventive measures
The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that the intensification of the epidemic process for coronavirus is under way in all regions. She believes that the situation remains tense. According to the head of the department, 85% of those infected violated the rules for the prevention of COVID-19.
“The situation remains tense. Measures must be adequate … The seasonal nature today absolutely clearly demonstrates that we have an intensification of the epidemic process in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation, ”said Ms. Popova on the air of“ Russia 24 ”. In her opinion, it is necessary to introduce measures that “do not reduce the quality of life,” but require “organization and self-discipline.” “These measures are for everyone today, the responsibility of the citizen is in the foreground,” said the head of Rospotrebnadzor.
Most of those who contracted the coronavirus did not comply with the measures introduced against COVID-19, Ms Popova said. “The number of people who comply with the requirements has grown over the past month. If at the beginning of September these requirements were complied with by no more than 40%, today we see that the number of people in transport (in masks – Kommersant) is significantly increasing, ”the head of the department said. According to her, no more than 10% of Russians do not believe in the existence of the coronavirus. She believes that this is a very high figure.
Rospotrebnadzor previously recommended to ban entertainment and entertainment events and provide catering services from 23:00 to 6:00. The department obliged citizens from October 28 to wear protective masks in public transport, in taxis, in parking lots, as well as in elevators and “places of mass stay of people.”
More details about the new measures – in the material of “Kommersant” “Rospotrebnadzor put a mask on the places of mass stay.”
