New restrictions imposed in the Leningrad region due to coronavirus
In the Leningrad Region, new restrictions will come into force on November 5 due to the coronavirus pandemic. In particular, sports activities are prohibited, the elderly must go into self-isolation, and minors can no longer visit the shopping center without adults. This is stated on the website of the regional government.
The corresponding decree was signed by the governor of the region Alexander Drozdenko.
“Sports and physical culture events are prohibited in the region,” the document says.
An exception was made for sports with a team of up to 18 people. In total, no more than 36 people can participate in the competition.
Indoors, one player must have at least 4 square meters. m. Team competitions on the street are allowed – up to 80 participants. “The number of visitors to such competitions should not exceed 50% of the total capacity of the venues,” the message says.
Non-working seniors over 65 years old should go to self-isolation, and working pensioners should be transferred to remote work. During self-isolation, you can walk the dog and go to the store at a distance of no more than 100 m.
At weddings, banquets, birthdays and commemorations, it is permissible to gather no more than 18 people, everyone must be in protective equipment.
Minors under 14 years old can visit shopping and shopping and entertainment centers accompanied by adults.
Over the past day, 161 new cases have been identified in the region. The total number of infected people rose to 12,192.
Against the backdrop of an increase in the incidence of COVID-19, restrictions in the region began to tighten in early October. In some areas, the elderly were allowed to visit shops only during certain hours. In addition, restrictions were established for participants in public events.
