The first examination failed to establish the cause of death of rapper Alexander Yushko (a Ukrainian citizen acted under the pseudonym Andy Cartwright. – RBC), whose dismembered body was found in St. Petersburg in the summer. A second examination has been appointed, the lawyer of the accused of the murder of the widow of the artist Marina Kohal, Irina Skurtu, told TASS.
“We were not allowed to familiarize ourselves with the examination, but we were given a decree on the appointment of a new examination, which contains excerpts from the first. It was not possible to establish the cause of death based on the results of the first examination, ”Skurtu explained.
At the end of July, the dismembered body of Yushko was found in a rented apartment in St. Petersburg. His wife Marina Kohal was detained shortly after the discovery of the body. The court arrested her for two months and later extended her arrest. According to Kohal, the rapper died of a drug overdose. She did not admit her guilt.
According to the investigation, Marina Kohal, during a personal conflict with the complicity of her mother, killed her husband, and in order to hide the traces of the crime, they dismembered the corpse and tried to get rid of him.
In mid-October, the mother-in-law of the rapper Elena Kohal was detained on suspicion of committing a crime under Part 5 of Art. 33 and part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (complicity in murder).
In late October, the court extended the arrest of Cartwright’s widow until December 30.
