Sandu spoke about relations with Russia
The chairman of the Action and Solidarity party, Maia Sandu, who was elected President of Moldova, spoke about the development of relations with Russia. On Tuesday, November 17, Interfax reports.
“I am ready to discuss all issues of bilateral relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. We have an extensive agenda, ”Sandu told reporters.
The agenda includes “resuming Moldovan exports” and “providing good conditions” for Moldovan citizens working in Russia, she explained.
“A separate issue on the agenda is the Transnistrian settlement and the export of Russian weapons and ammunition,” Sandu said.
She said that in the coming days she intends to meet with Russian Ambassador Oleg Vasnetsov.
In the second round of the presidential elections, which took place on November 15, Sandu received 57.72 percent of the vote, while the incumbent President Igor Dodon received 42.28 percent. His term of office expires on December 23. Sandu will become the first female president in the history of Moldova.
