Pele reacted to Maradona’s death
Brazilian Pele, three-time world champion, reacted to the death of former Argentine national team player Diego Maradona. The words of the veteran are quoted by Reuters.
“I’m sure someday we will play in heaven with you,” Pele said in a statement following the passing of the 60-year-old Argentine.
The death of Maradona became known earlier on November 25. The information was confirmed by his lawyer, and the first to report the incident were the journalists of Argentinean Clarin. In November, Maradona was hospitalized with a cerebral hemorrhage and was later discharged. Death was due to a heart attack.
