The Kremlin called the condition for the production of “Sputnik V” in Ukraine

The production of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in Ukraine will depend on the decision of the authorities. This condition was called by the official representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov, RIA Novosti reports on Tuesday, December 8.

“Production depends on permission from the authorities,” said Peskov.

Earlier, Russia expressed its readiness to supply the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine to Ukraine and to make it on the territory of this country. This prospect was discussed by the director of the Gamaleya center Alexander Gintsburg, the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Viktor Medvedchuk and the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev. According to the latter, Europe has already softened its position on the Russian-developed drug.

At the same time, the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov asked to determine the country as a priority candidate for receiving a vaccine against the American-made coronavirus. He added that contracts for the supply of the vaccine will be signed in the next two weeks.
