St. Petersburg detained two girls throwing snowballs at the Eternal Flame
Two teenage girls in Krasnoe Selo in St. Petersburg were taken to the police after they threw snowballs at the Eternal Flame, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region told RBC.
It happened on the afternoon of December 19 in the city park. A passer-by reported to the police that the fire had gone out and complained about the smell of gas.
The police looked at the footage and found that two 13-year-old girls were involved in the incident, throwing snowballs into the fire and putting it out.
They conducted a preventive conversation with minors, and their parents will be brought to administrative responsibility for “improper upbringing.”
In mid-December, on the Field of Mars in St. Petersburg, two unknown persons extinguished the Eternal Flame, throwing snow at it, and then disappeared.
