Ministry of Health wants to simplify the issuance of permits for the online sale of drugs
The Russian Ministry of Health intends to change the requirements for issuing permits for the remote sale of drugs. The agency proposes to remove the requirement for the chain to have at least ten pharmacies and allow sales through aggregator sites. The Ministry of Health has developed a corresponding draft government decree.
“The rule excludes the requirement for at least ten locations for pharmaceutical activities in the Russian Federation … and also establishes the possibility of using aggregator sites in the implementation of distance selling …” – reads the explanatory note to the document.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the remote sale of OTC drugs and medical supplies in early April. The law does not apply to narcotic, potent and psychotropic medicines and drugs that contain more than 25% ethyl alcohol.
In October, the All-Russian Union of Patients proposed to simplify the issuance of permits for online drug trade. He asked to remove the restriction on the number of pharmacies and remove other restrictions.
