WB allowed the growth of the world economy by 4%, subject to large-scale vaccination
If vaccination against the coronavirus COVID-19 takes place everywhere, the world economy will grow by 4% this year, according to the World Bank (WB) report. With the slow process of universal vaccination and an increase in new infections, experts admit that global economic growth will be limited to 1.6%.
“The global economy is expected to grow by 4% in 2021, assuming the initial introduction of the COVID-19 vaccine becomes widespread within a year,” said the World Bank’s January Global Economic Prospects report.
At the same time, analysts warn that the economic recovery will be restrained unless the authorities of the countries take decisive steps to contain the pandemic and carry out reforms aimed at increasing investment activity.
The World Bank predicts the growth of the Russian economy in 2021 at the level of 2.6%. “Growth is expected to be supported by the roll-out of the vaccination program, higher prices for manufactured goods, and continued supportive policies,” the report said.
The WB forecast regarding the growth of the Russian economy – in the material of “Kommersant” “Wherever you go, everywhere pancake.”
