In the Moscow Region, schools, kindergartens and colleges will continue to work in full-time mode after the New Year holidays. This was reported by the press service of the governor Andrei Vorobyov.
“Schools and kindergartens will open on January 11, colleges on January 13. The circles and sections will also continue to work in person, ”the message says.
The press service added that all educational institutions will maintain security measures introduced due to the pandemic: disinfection and regular ventilation; mask mode. Teachers will wear masks when working individually with students, while the rest of the workers will wear them at all times. Food workers must also wear gloves. It is assumed that the corresponding anti-epidemic measures will be in effect until January 1, 2022.
The regional government also explained that if 20% of students fall ill in the class, the class will be transferred to two-week distance learning. And if 30% of schoolchildren are ill, then the entire educational institution will transfer to distance learning.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that winter holidays in Moscow schools for students in grades 1-11 are extended by a week – until January 17. He also clarified that colleges, as well as institutions of additional education for children and sports schools, subordinate to the metropolitan government, go with schools for a long vacation. Sobyanin also explained that there will be no distance learning during the winter holidays.
