Operator of Nord Stream 2 confirms the resumption of construction from 15 January
Work on the construction of a part of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in the territorial waters of Denmark will resume on January 15, the press service of the pipeline construction operator, Nord Stream 2 AG, said. The work was suspended at the end of 2019 after the Swiss company Allseas refused to lay pipes due to possible sanctions from the United States.
“The pipe-laying work, including preparatory measures and tests, will begin on January 15,” Nord Stream 2 AG reported (quoted by TASS).
Earlier, the Danish Maritime Agency announced that the pipeline laying in the exclusive economic zone of Denmark from January 15 will be carried out by the pipelayer “Fortuna” and supply vessels “Baltic Researcher” and “Murman”. We are talking about laying two lines of the gas pipeline 50 km long.
