Russian travelers are massively interested in budget vacations in the Maldives, which are considered the favorite resort of the rich. This was announced by several domestic travel agents, reports the TourDom.ru portal.

So, according to experts, applications for a cheap vacation in the Maldives come every day and there are a lot of bookings now. At the same time, as noted by tour operators, Russians should still expand their budget and consider higher quality hotels – for example, Biyadhoo Island, Adaaran Club Rannalhi, Ellaidhoo by Cinnamon.

“Alternatively, you can choose hotels of the Kaani chain: the tour will cost in the range from 267 to 282 thousand rubles for two. This is a fairly good level for hotels by European standards, ”said ANEX Tour.

At the same time, experts added that rest in the Maldives with the local population “has its own specifics”, and tourists need to be prepared for this.

In January, it was reported that Russian tourists set an absolute record for tourist flow to the Maldives. In December, the number of visitors from Russia to the republic exceeded the figures for the same period in 2019 by almost 70 percent, which was a record in history.
