Found a new way to combat hair loss
The Japanese Institute of Physical and Chemical Research RIKEN has developed a new way to combat hair loss. This is reported by Eurekalert with reference to an article published in the scientific journal Scientific Reports.
A group of researchers led by Takashi Tsuji tried to find methods for hair stem cell restoration. To do this, they cultured stem cells of mouse hair and whisker follicles in various environments. After testing 220 combinations of different ingredients, the scientists found that a mixture of five ingredients (NFFSE medium) showed the best results when plating cells on a specific type of collagen.
Hair growth in humans and other mammals is a continuous cyclical process in which individual hairs grow, then fall out and grow back. As it turned out, 81 percent of hair follicles grown from stem cells in NFFSE medium survive at least three such cycles. In 79 percent of follicles in other media, hair stopped growing after falling out.
Ryan Raman, a New Zealand nutritionist, previously named crops that help fight hair loss. The expert claims that it is good to eat an avocado for hair loss. One avocado contains about 20 percent of your daily value for vitamin E.
