Oxygen pipeline burst in Kommunarka hospital
In one of the buildings of the hospital in Kommunarka, an oxygen pipeline burst. This is reported by the agency “Moscow” in its Telegram channel.
According to the agency, the building’s cladding was damaged. There were no patients in the building, the staff, according to preliminary information, was not injured.
A TASS source said that firefighters had gone to the site to check. Eyewitnesses told the agency that white smoke was coming from the hospital – they said a fire had started there.
The interlocutor of the agency also added that, according to preliminary data, the pipe rupture did not affect the work of the hospital.
At the end of October, an explosion occurred in a booth for storing oxygen cylinders in a student clinic of the South Ural State University. The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Chelyabinsk Region, Pavel Yekimov, said that there was a fire in the annex to the building, which led to a depressurization of the tank. This led to an intensification and spread of burning to the hospital building and a neighboring residential building. According to him, no one was hurt, 158 patients and 40 personnel were evacuated.
